There’s always a bigger dose of adrenaline mixed with excitement whenever I have a chance to document moments for friends and family. Mental bar raises that much higher and the pressure is on. When long time friends Ania and Artur decided to have their engagement session in an old Chicago warehouse under renovation, I knew it was going to be a unique experience on both ends. Not very often do I get to hear ‘we’d love our photos to be dark and moody’. Past the metal gate and piled furring strips, we found a light switch with the help of a torch…and a whole other world opened. They explored an elevator shaft, bravely climbed rickety stairs, and muscled a fire door. Afterwards, we strolled through the Fulton Market to catch a glimpse of the city they both love. Wishing them a wonderful life together! Next month I sure promise to pull some crazy moves on the dance floor (instead of behind the camera), can’t wait!
